Explore The Assembly Website

This site was commissioned by the National Assembly For Wales as part of their ongoing education programme, providing information on how the Assembly government works. The site is intended to provide sectioned information for school kids of all ages and as a classroom resource for teachers.

As a Welsh Assembly project I had to design the whole site bilingually with an option to view each page in either English or Welsh at any point during browsing. This is controlled through one content management system enabling the Assembly's web team to easily update the site in two languages from one place. Other features include an indepth 'Find Your AM' section which enables the user to locate their local Assembly Member and Regional AMs through an interactive Flash map and sidebar index.

Subnote - Each menu section on the site has it's own related footer banner image which is taken from an amazing specially commissioned illustration by Japanese artist Gaku Nakagawa. Check him out, he's awesome!
