Kruger Magazine
Production Editing - Art Direction - Concept
From it's early days as a black and white fanzine to it's later thick, full colour format, design, photography, sharp editorial and high production values were at the centre of it's success. Each issue was individually concepted and all articles within were themed to fit making each edition a carefully considered and complete piece of work.
In December 2009 Kruger came runner up in the 'Best Free Magazine' category at the Record Of The Day Awards making it officially Britain's second favorite free music magazine! The award was voted for by the public making it even more of an amazing achievement! We were and still are pleased as punch.
Sadly, in May 2010, Kruger Magazine was forced to stop publishing. Having successfully struggled through the recession it was heartbreaking to have to call it a day but the decline of the music and print publishing industries had made it impossible to continue. Whilst we're sad to say goodbye to Kruger Magazine, we're immensely proud of the body of work we have left behind. We are currently developing a memorial archive type website which will feature every issue of Kruger in pdf format as well as our Kruger Singles Club and Ivy League Sessions recordings. For now however, you can browse the flickable issues below by clicking the tabs on either side.Issue 23 : War & Peace
